PurrBPM may store the following data locally on your Mac:
- Live heart-rate readings and saved recordings
- Device names shown by nearby Bluetooth heart-rate devices
- Bluetooth diagnostic logs shown inside the app
- App settings, including zones, alerts, and recording preferences
- Optional activity samples if Activity Tracking is enabled
- Optional browser domains if Browser Domain Tracking is enabled
- CSV files only when you choose to export them
Activity Tracking
Activity Tracking
Activity Tracking is off by default. If enabled, PurrBPM can store active app names with heart-rate samples while your Mac is in use. Activity sampling pauses after keyboard and mouse inactivity.
Browser Domain Tracking is separate and off by default. If enabled, macOS may ask for automation permission so PurrBPM can read the active browser domain from Safari, Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Chromium. If permission is denied, the rest of the app continues to work.
